Berlin boy full of self-confidence ahead of his next fight

Second professional fight for Tyron Zeuge: The super-middleweight from Berlin, who had an impressive debut to his professional boxing career, will face his next opponent at the Messehalle in Erfurt on May 5. He will take on the Italian Santo Drago as part of the undercard of the WBO World Championship bouts of Marco Huck (cruiserweight) and Robert Stieglitz (super-middleweight) as well as the European heavyweight Championship between Kubrat Pulev and Alexander Dimitrenko.

It remains to be seen if the German hopeful can reproduce the same form he put on display during his debut. In his first outing, it only took 1 minute and 14 seconds of the first round before the referee ended the fight in Zeuge´s favor. It could not have gone any better for the 19-year-old at the Kieler-Sparkassen-Arena. As soon as the bell went his Belarusian opponent Yauheni Bohdanouski never seemed to stand a chance. During the whole fight and even before, Zeuge never showed any signs of nerves."Somehow I wasn´t really nervous at all. I only felt the nerves the day before the fight."

Of course he was very pleased with the result of the bout. Especially the supremacy he put on display during the fight was very impressive to watch. "I was so happy with how it ended, although I have to say I wouldn´t have minded to box a little longer after all the preparation we put into the fight," remembers Zeuge.

But all this could change come May 5. At the Messehalle Erfurt he will have to deal with the 32-year-old Santo Drago who unlike his previous opponent possesses a positive record. Up until now the Italian managed to win four (three of them by KO) out of six fights. Also the Venezuela-born fighter is 13 years older than the young German.

But that doesn´t really impress Zeuge: "I can´t really say how dangerous he is. Of course I am not going to underestimate him. I went straight back into training after the last fight and therefore I am in great shape," he says. "I have been boxing against older guys during my whole time as an amateur. Therefore I do not care who they put in front of me!"

He doesn´t really want to make a prediction for the May 5 bout. "You can never know what will happen in the ring. The main thing is that it will be an interesting fight, and I will make sure of that."
