Training camp in Zinnowitz coming to an end

Arthur Abraham's (34-3, 27 KOs) training is running at full speed. WBO's number one ranked Super-Middleweight has been working out in Zinnowitz, Germany for almost three weeks, after previously having started his preparations in Berlin. The sessions on the Island of Usedom, Baltic Sea will focus on boxing basics and foundations. Coach Ulli Wegner is keeping a close eye on Abraham who takes on the current WBO Super-Middleweight Champion Robert Stieglitz at the o2 World Berlin, Germany on August 25.

Wegner is tough on his prodigy. Abraham, a former IBF Middleweight Champion, has already failed twice in his attempt to become world champion in the 168 lbs limit division. In November of 2010 he lost to Carl Froch in a bout for the WBC crown. Just six months later he took on the American Andre Ward, the current WBC and WBA Champion, but lost again. Recently Abraham got back to winning ways defeating Pablo Oscar Natalio Farias and Piotr Wilczewski.

Ulli Wegner: "Although Arthur did win his last couple of fights, we can not be too happy with his performances. The fight against Robert Stieglitz is his last chance to truly shine in and put his stamp on this division." The coach demands: "Arthur needs to put money where his mouth is." In order to do so, Abraham and his trainer will continue working on the foundations for the rest of their time in Zinnowitz. Over the next few weeks the former middleweight champion will pick up his preparations in Berlin, before travelling for another training camp to Kienbaum.
