Abraham in training camp for WBO-Title shot
Coach Ulli Wegner and his prodigies have set up their training camp on the Island of Usedom. The coach's main focus during their training at the Baltic Hotel and the facilities of Zinnowitz will be on the preparation of Arthur Abraham and Wegner will be paying a lot of attention to his performance. The trainer knows that if the 32-year-old wants to add the world title at super-middleweight to the list of his achievements, he will have to be in great shape.
A fact which Abraham is also aware of and he does everything to ensure that he will be victorious over the current WBO-Champion Robert Stieglitz when the pair meet at the o2 World Berlin on August 25. The weather is also playing into the cards of the challenger: "Mostly it is still cloudy and a bit damp when we start training in the morning which helps as my focus is completely on the preparation. As soon as we are done with it, as a reward, the sun starts shining."
Runs on the beach and a lot of swimming, these are the chosen activities to work on the stamina of the former IBF Middleweight Champion. But his coach is also trying to improve his tactical and strategic awareness. If Abraham should be able too implement all the teachings of his 70-year-old manager in front of the eyes of his home crowd, there can surely be only one winner: Arthur Abraham.
